WIN! Tix to Love & Other Drugs

Be one of the first people in Perth to see Anne Hathaway and Jake Gyllenhaal in Love & Other Drugs! I saw this movie the other week in the new Readings Belmont Gold Lounge (more on that in another post) and really enjoyed it. Although it wasn't the movie I expected - more drama than romantic comedy - it was very moving and always engaging.

This movie releases this Thursday. If you'd like to win a double in-season pass, just hit comment below and tell us what (legal) drugs you're most grateful for and why! Too easy!! The most creative answers will win. Also make sure you leave us a way to contact you so we can let you know you've won!

We have a heap of passes to give away so go ahead and get commenting. In-season passes will get you and a friend into most screenings at most WA cinemas at a time of your choice, although some conditions of use are listed on the ticket. Winners will be drawn this weekend, so make sure you get in quick.

ABOUT THE MOVIE:
Anne Hathaway plays Maggie, an alluring free spirit who won’t let anyone – or anything – tie her down. But she meets her match in Jamie (Jake Gyllenhaal), whose relentless and nearly infallible charm serve him well with the ladies and in the cutthroat world of pharmaceutical sales. Maggie and Jamie’s evolving relationship takes them both by surprise, as they find themselves under the influence of the ultimate drug: love. Also stars Gabriel Macht, Judy Greer, Oliver Platt, Hank Azaria. Based on the book Hard Sell: The Evolution of a Viagra Salesman.

    after working until
the wee hours of the morn
    a cup of your goodness

    a love affair that started
    whilst studying for my degree

  2. Hmmm yes I'd have to agree Caffeine rates quite highly for me too but honestly the real one is *cue soppy music* love!

The past few years have been tough to say the least and without Guvnor [read: the hubs] by my side, I'm not sure I'd have gotten through it as well as I did.

He loves me despite my imperfections - in fact he actually loves me BECAUSE of some of them!

Was the movie good? I'm a huge Jake Gyllenhaal fan and love Anne Hathaway and they seem to have such good chemistry in the promo interviews for this film, so will be interesting to see how well they go together on screen!

  3. The best natural high comes from laughter that makes you wish for a breath and then the tears roll down and you are sharing that exact same laughter with your best friend and it just keeps going. Those endorphins released then are the best drugs ever.
Of course my preferred purchased drug is my Nespresso coffee 1st thing in the morning, I drink my coffee and imagine my husband is George.....Clooney, not Castanza.

  4. Who needs drugs when you have the natural releasing endorphins from chocolate. A dog may be a man's best friend but chocolate is definately a woman's friend for life. The day when work is dragging, three-thirtyitis has hit -the world stops as you break a piece from your chocolate block. It's almost like a magic trick as it disappears before your eyes. When the times get tough - break ups, fights, burnt dinner, that once a month visit- you know there's one thing you can always rely on - the irresistable taste of chocolate. It makes the world a better place.
